Our lives are governed by the choices we make. The choice to eat less and exercise more versus the eat more and exercise less (LOL!). The choices between what we know to be right and what is wrong. The option to choose between living life on it's terms or our's.
Sometimes we forget that we still have the power to choose what we want in our hands - other times we rejoice over the choices well made. There are times when we are torn apart between two choices - the one we love and the one which is right - following either seems to lead to heartbreak. Some days we let others take our decisions in hand and live to regret it (it's funny how we can then turn around and accuse them later of not thinking of what we wanted while making the decision!).
The choice to follow and live our dreams is also something that can change the course of our lives. To break free of the narrow society norms and to live life king size is so liberating to our souls that every minute becomes an adventure in pursuit of who we really want to be.
To make our own choices, we have to first listen to ourselves - what we want or need to become happier or better people. Then set a course towards the goals with a deadline - and start to work towards it day by day. And maybe this would be the most important point of all - we have to continue listening to ourselves. Listening to the little inner voice placed in our hearts about what it thinks of the situation. If all is well, then we feel happy about the situation. If something is wrong, it shows up symptoms of unhappiness and dissatisfaction in our emotions and minds. Taking the feedback from our present state of mind, we need to modify or change or continue on the path to our dreams till it's fruition.
All this involves less of habitual mechanical thinking and more of introspective 'now' thinking of how to live our lives 'king-size'. Maybe, this is how great people become 'great'. In successful completion of the pursuit of their dreams.
